It was in this era that Orient introduced what is now considered a legendary timepiece—the brand’s first diver’s watch, the Olympia Calendar Diver. This watch not only anticipated the future of Japanese-made divers, but also stood out for its remarkably sophisticated design for the period.
Fiftyseven years later, on November 11, 2021, Orient Star released the Diver 1964 as part of its Sports Collection. In this article, we take a look at how the original design of the classic Olympia Calendar Diver has been faithfully reproduced while significantly upgrading its specifications.

I purchased this watch brand new. It has only been sized and tried on, and has never been worn for actual use. The bracelet is currently sized for a 16 cm wrist, and all removed links are included.
