This is a fully completed resin kit model of the Imperial Japanese Navy battleship Kii,
a capital ship planned under the Eight-Eight Fleet Program but never constructed due to the Washington Naval Treaty.
This model represents a “what-if” interpretation, depicting Kii as if she had been completed and deployed
during Operation Sho-Go 1 (Battle of Leyte Gulf, 1944).
Rather than a speculative concept, this work is based on a realistic wartime configuration,
focusing on practical armament, balanced silhouette, and operational plausibility
as the Imperial Japanese Navy might have prepared the ship in late 1944.
